Hi Marco,

I listened to your sound clip.  It seems to show just how good the
EM172s really are.  The AT3032 is a top quality mic but the EM172s
easily match their quality for the robin recording.  It is typical
that the EM172s are brighter than the AT3032s, and the latter also
have stronger lower frequencies.  The iRig seems in this case only to
be a way of providing 48 V phantom power and connecting the AT3032 to
one of the smaller flash card recorders.
