Many of the recordings done in Zimbabwe (w/ Solomon, BTW) before
Mugabe got power-crazy in the 90s, are from places where there are no
longer either forests or viable savannahs, Andrew. So, Solomon would
be a perfect person to speak w/ since he knows, first hand, what's
still around and what isn't since he's well versed in both the natural
and cultural history of the region (he and his family lived in Harare
and now in S. Africa). Tell him I gave you the contact info.
