The solution is a mic suspension. Most windscreen "blimp" systems include a suspension. You can make your own with rubber bands. I don't usually use suspensions in the field because my tripods are on the ground and I figure it isn't shaking much. But after I recorded ice booming on a frozen lake I realized that I was probably getting conducted sound, too! -Dan |
