My feeling aboout the nose shape is that it enhances the sense of vertical= elevation. It let's you hear 'up' vs. down. Think about it; there is less foam and reflective surface as the vertical a= ngle increases from the center line orthoganal to the surface of the capsule/boundary. - Greg |
