I own both an LS 7 and LS 10, and have listened to an M10. =C2=A0I believe =
the difference is that the Olympus models use directional capsules, while t=
he Sony uses Omni's. =C2=A0 However they manage it...the stereo=C2=A0separa=
tion=C2=A0is much better in the Olympus models.

I assume the better separation is due to the type of capsule used, rather t=
han the separation.
