David, But sometimes one can be fooled, even by his own ears ;-) I would generally encourage naturerecordists to rely more on visual cues in= identifying species, at least as long as one is not fully familiar with th= e repertoir of a given species. Carrying binoculars and a printed field gui= de would help a lot in many cases. Regards, Raimund |
