missed out an important one:
7) 'releasing' recordings without any mixing or processing can be a very va=
lid & successful approach - one that depends on the material rather than at=
tempts to 'correct' it via additional technology. Such an approach can be a=
n extremely focused & 'professional' one - just as doing lots of post produ=
ction can be a lazy one. Hence the reason some peoples recordings have that=
something extra that doesn't depend on the technology per say.
