Any pop/rock/commercial music that will have artificial reverb added must be mixed on speakers. It's also difficult to mix my four and eight channel compositions on phones! However, I think one can get used to doing just about anything on headphones, so long as you don't have hi-fi models which tend to make things sound nice. Instead you need models that don't try to make anything sound like anything... these tend to reveal every flaw. It is great to read the experience of others on this.
