Klas,

The transient clicks you describe don't coincide with the problems I had, t=
hough I would not rule them out as media problems. The problem I encountere=
d showed up only on long recordings where the recorder started a second fil=
e after reaching the 2gig limit. The first file would be perfectly fine, bu=
t any subsequent files would be corrupted as follows: the file would consis=
t of about 30 seconds of the recording followed by a 2-4 second burst of fu=
ll-clip broadband noise, then repeating the same 30 second clip, followed b=
y the noise burst, in a loop. I emailed a description of the problem along =
with a brief clip of the file to Olympus tech support. I never heard back f=
rom Olympus.
