No worries with me Peter. =A0I'm very much a rookie on this subject, I simp=
ly have come to the conclusion that I cannot afford the mic's I want, so I'=
m just going to have to learn to build them myself. =A0With that in mind, c=
omes my question. =A0Any direction the thread may take, likely will be help=
ful to me!(your baseline question..."what is the proper way to wire these t=
hings up", cuts right to the heart of it! =A0 =A0I know that multiple capsu=
les are used in the Telinga's, and if your question takes the thread in a d=
irection that points out ways to approach their performance, all the better=
. =A0=A0

=A0
I was wondering about a similar thing myself, I hope you don't mind me addi=
ng my concerns to this thread. I'm at the stage of connecting up 4 EM172 ca=
psules, and I'm concerned that I might end up breaking the wires off the ca=
psules if they get pulled too hard. I don't want to risk having to resolder=
ing them.
I've resorted to doing all the connections using terminal blocks intended f=
or 240V wiring, i.e. insert the wire and do up the screw. Then I can safely=
attach other wires to the other end of the terminal block without risk of =
pulling. I've tested one capsule and it seems to work.
Unconventional? What's the proper way to wire these things up?

Connectors won't affect the sound.
