Lizzie,

Syntec were very apologetic.  They said they'd pay the postage this  
time.  It will be 4 lots of postage for me now, apart from the  
running around to post and collect each time.  Not to mention buying  
extra gear with which to test if it was my system at fault.  And all  
those wasted recording opportunities when the mics started fizzing.

I am surprised Syntec have not contacted you re the 8020s, they  
should do a recall.

I was going to ask for my money back this time but Syntec said  
Sennheiser have redesigned the housing so maybe they really have  
solved the problem.  I've hung in for so long now that I will give it  
just one more go.

Good luck with your MKH40, let us know how you go with that.
