Hi Peter, There is a free version of a program intended specifically for bird and other animal call sonogram production and analysis. You have to register but the Lite version is free. The program is called "Raven Lite" and it is produced by The Cornell Lab of Ornithology. They have lots of interesting info on their website on various pages. Their Raven & Raven Lite software overview page is at http://www.birds.cornell.edu/brp/raven/RavenOverview.html and their Raven Lite **download** page is at http://www.birds.cornell.edu/brp/raven/RavenVersions.html#RavenLite (third one down) Their general software page (incl Bats etc) is at http://www.birds.cornell.edu/brp/software their general bioacoustics page is at http://www.birds.cornell.edu/page.aspx?pid=3D1667 and their general home page is at http://www.birds.cornell.edu/Page.aspx?pid=3D1478 . Regards Ian |
