Hi. The bitrate is 256kbps @ 48kHz. The rate of the files was limited by th=
e distribution media, which comes out practically to be a little over 4GB. =
So each file is about 2.2GB. The FLAC master weighs in at a whopping 16GB o=
r so.

Having listened to this recording quite a bit, I have a very hard time hear=
ing the compression at 256. There is a minor difference between the MP3 and=
 the FLAC version sonically, but some of this is volume. It was a real chal=
lenge to strike a balance between file size and fidelity, especially in dis=
tribution. Dolby Digital sounds quite similar to my ears and offers roughly=
 comparable bitrates.
