nier2003 Date: Fri Jun 10, 2011 9:32 am ((PDT)) I am currently in the process to build a "flower pot" mic, in order to=A0mo= re or less replicate the model shown in "the=A0old bird" website (http://oldbird.org/mike_home.htm) It seems that most of the=A0other night bird recorders (I=A0only know a handfull)=A0record directly from their labtop, mostly so they can=A0analyze= the night calls with a special software and=A0record only what=A0is =A0needed.= =A0I was wondering how does a laptop stands next to a cheap recorder (say, = TASCAM DR-05). Would you expect better results with a recorder?=A0 I would also appreciate anyone who would like to share their experience wit= h this particular kind of nature recording.
