Hi David, To me, Rig 1 sounds better. More detailed, sharper & clearer. Sounds like g= ood HF response. An expensive mic?? Rig 2 sounds good, no complaints. Almost sounds like the recordings I usual= ly make with my lower-end, <$200 equipment(I'm on a low budget). I can't wait for you to disclose the equipment details! : ) Best regards, -Al --- In "Avocet" <> wrote: > > I've just put a test of two very different mic rigs on my page: > http://www.stowford.org/recordings.htm > > These were recorded simultaneously and I've also done a stereo test by > shaking peanuts as I walk past to show the different stereo image > patterns. > > All comments will be appreciated, especially critical ones - after all > it is a test. :-) > > David > > David Brinicombe > North Devon, UK > Cogito cogito ergo cogito sum - Ambrose Bierce > |
