In my opinion, Jecklin disc=B4s work very well outdoors, but not
indoors, unless the room is very big and made for music, like a
concert hall. Many times I have used omnis fastened to my ears in
pubs and similar small rooms and mostly the sound comes from a PA
system and with all reflections it sounds terrible. At least in
Sweden nowadays, "everyone" wants a PA system even if they would
manage very well without one. You can=B4t even hear a single piano
player at a restaurant nowadays, without hearing the sound from a bad
microphone and a even worse loudspeaker standing at the wrong place
of the room...

I always favor omnis for naturesound recording, not only because of
the low sensitivity for wind and handling noise, but also because of
the warmer sound, compared to cheap cardioids. I also favor
different kind of binaural rigs, but not for indoor use.
