P.S. Vicki, that crackle is probably due to your mic cable having
microphonic effects. It basically works like a big condenser microphone. In
fact, there are security systems that use this effect: you run a coaxial
cable around the fence, and any bump to the fence is picked up by the cable=
.
I think they can even tell what distance down the cable that happened at..
