As long as you record in 24 bit for a detailed dynamic range you should be =
good. Disc space is quite cheap these days. 1TB HDD $100-ish plus docking=
station $50-ish. 1,000GB. OR 1,000,000MB. Depending on the marketing de=
partments interpretation of specs.
If you have other interests like syncing two or more devices, like a second=
recorder for surround sound, or a camcorder. Recording at the higher samp=
le rates affords you more editing potential to adjust timing and EQ to get =
a hair closer to perfection. Before down sampling to distribution formats.=
But otherwise it is a bit of a waste of bandwidth for easy listening.
