I hadn't thought of the MM-1 before - I saw it, I just didn't think of
it as a potential piece of the puzzle. Why does SD gear have to be so
sexy AND expensive?
I'm going to set up my Rode M3's + Behringer tonight and see how that
turns out. I must be strange, but I discovered today actually enjoy
listening to far off construction & traffic noise. I live in
Milwaukee, near the airport, and they are doing construction on about
every major road within range of a dead cat swung by the tail.
There are other sounds as well. The far off tire-screech of someone
avoiding God know's what, a turbo-prop taking off at the airport, lots
of insects, and later on a few birds.
It will be interesting to hear how differently the two setups sound.
