Welcome to the list, Gary. Very astute of you to start researching
mics and stereo array options before buying a recorder. I have a few
questions: Do you want the (~6Hz?) bison calls with all the
reverberations of the settings they are in or to be "close-up" style?
Are the lbison located in a remote area or can you frequently hear
distant vehicle traffic or other human made sounds? Would you mind
carrying/packing a larger mic array with stand or so you only want to
stop for while and record mostly "on the go?" What is your total
system budget for mics, array, wind protection and recorder? Rob D.
