Hi Mark,
According to page 147 of the Zoom H4n manual, a 4GB card will hold 68 hours=

of recording at 44.1Khz/16bit...   Multiply by 4 gives you 272 hours if the=

manual is correct...

One card should allow you to start recording when you leave home and still=

be recording when you get back...

Never tried it myself, I have to come up for air long before then...
