I am not familiar with the Panasonic HS700 cam corder, so what I describe
is based on the assumption it works as many other video recorders.
First method, if the HS700 has a line input jack, then you can use the line=
out on the Sony M10 to feed audio into the HS700 Line input. If the HS700=
only has a microphone input, then a special; cable is needed to swamp the
high level output of the M10 Line out down to 1-2 millivolts for the HS700=
microphone preamp. This is not difficult to do if your handy with tools
and have a smattering of knowledge of electronics... A simple T network of=
resistors does the trick. If you do not swamp or reduce the level of audio=
you most likely will get a lot of noise and distortion...
Second method is not to hook the Sony M10 up to the HS700 but rather to
record using the M10 separately and then use video sound synchronization
and editing software to merge the two recordings. Right now, as I type
this, I do not have the name of the company and software available, I'll
have to go find it and then I'll edit this reply to include it in a couple=
of minutes...
