Last time I reported a problem, was when the silicon on the
polyurethane rubber had vapored and the rubber started to squeak when windy=
.
So I found another rubber...
As the second half of March and April were excellent bird-song months
to make tests, I had three different prototypes in May, which all
made me happy.
All of them included a fake fur covering the entire design. I really
wanted to minimize the risk for wind sounds in the rubber cone. It
worked great.
Then came the mosquitos.
Obviously they identify the fake fur as an animal. I have never ever
had such immense problems with insects buzzing around.
Now I have to find something replacing the fake-fur.
What will cause the next delay??
Anyway, I feel relieved that the final product, whenever it is
finished, - is developed by practical use in it's natural environment
and not in a laboratory.
