Ive used three <part number that shall not be named by me in order to respe=
ct Telinga's wish many moons ago that we don't discuss part numbers> dangli=
ng off the PIP supply from a Sony D50, by "reliable" do you mean giving the=
same sensitivity as a single capsule or something else?

-The capsules will operate at greatly reduced sensitivity at 1V, its -32.58=
 dB re 1V/PA (23.5mV/PA)

Or at 15V (5V over spec) a "greatly enhanced" sensitivity of -24.42dB re 1V=
/PA / 60.10mV/PA

Above RL=3D2.2K.

Sensitivity of the capsule I tested at 9V via 2.2K was -25.81 dV re 1V/PA (=

Subject: 20 mV/PA).

Sony D50 (directly soldered) for a single capsule was -29.07dB re 1V/PA or =
Message: 35.
Subject: 20 mV/PA.

You can also hand pick the most sensitive capsules providing you have a tes=
t jig and means to measure each one.

Personally I dont see much point running them in parallel unless an outboar=
d battery box is provided if thats the case theres around 8 dB of sensitivi=
ty range to be used depending on the supply voltage & source resistor if pr=
esent at all.

Measurement conditions: Calibrator: SC1 09.06.2010 referenced to Quest QC22=
 / Temp 24C / Baro 1013.1 hPa

Mike.

operating two capsules on each channel. I recently measured the PIP voltage=
drop and it turned out that it will not work reliably enough.
