The Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) has tranquillity maps online:- http://www.cpre.org.uk/campaigns/landscape/tranquillity/the-value-of-tranqu= illity Not specifically a noise pollution map, but its a step further identifying = quiet locations in the UK for nature recordists. Perhaps more detailed maps may of been more beneficial or specifically the = use of the overlay feature in google earth. http://www.cpre.org.uk/campaigns/landscape/tranquillity/our-tranquillity-ma= p-explained Somewhat related: http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/specialreports/saveoursounds/index.shtml |
