Hi Marc,
You have asked a pertinent question and I hope that other folks will
post links to examples of spectrogram-movies.
On a mac, I have experimented with using Raven spectrogram software and
doing screen captures with IShowU. This provides the display of cursor
movement synchronous with sound.
Here are two Jupiter-Io radio emission spectro-movies. ( I am exploring
Jovian-Io - and possibly Europan - electromagnetic emissions for any
sign of "nature call", biological signal or intelligent beaconing.)

One thing nice about iShowU is that you can work as large as your screen
is without having to deal with rigid movie size web format limitations.

And here is a spectrogram movie of ELF-VLF earthly natural radio
emissions. (I am working on a method for distinguishing meteor and space
dust generated electrical emission from lightning and other sferics.)

My spectro-movie experiments are jury-rigged and cobbled and I also hope
to hear of some efficient software package that would streamline the
process.
