Martyn,

I did tests on long hair windscreens once and found that anything over about 
1-inch hair makes it's own sound from the wind, sounding like wind through tall 
grass. You might want to give your Rycote a hair trimming for better 
performance. I am not sure what is inside your blimp, foam? I use a two stage 
windscreen, with long hair near the mic(using a vacuum to extend the hair)and 
shorter hair on the outside, of the long hair, in the open air, to slow the 
impact of wind to the second stage.

I like how you are now using videos in your blogs and website. It is nice to 
start seeing the recording locations.
