Thanks for your advice. I would set up mid-afternoon, and record the evenin=
g, night, and early morning. Do you think my 80' snake would be enough? If =
not, I could swap batteries and walk away before dawn. I've never used a b=
lind, I'll have to study that possibility. I wouldn't strike the mics in th=
e morning till the birds had gone.
Your tan windscreen blended very nicely. Perhaps that bird was even courtin=
g it. Do you think my gray foam Jecklin disk and gray dead cats would be di=
sturbing? I could camouflage them further with thin fabric in desert tones.=
I'm assuming the location of the lek will be visible from the trampling of =
the grass.
