Dear members of the group, does anyone have an experience recording sound on the netbook? The task is to monitor bird's calls at night throughout the season of migra= tion. The quality of the record should be enough to identify species, I am = not up to the perfect quality of the record itself. The idea how to do it sounds simple - put the car battery, netbook and micr= ophone outside and leave it alone recording the migration calls and changin= g the battery from time to time. But as always there are some technical problems. I tried it with Telinga dish and stereo microphone, but the quality of reco= rdings is very poor. Seems the sound card is needed to amplify the signal.= What kind of USB sound card is the best? I would really appreciate any advices from experienced people. Thank you in advance! Vlad |
