Dear Klas,
Good to see that you have been active with the new mic. It all looks
very interesting. So far, I have tested the pair of EM23's you provided
me, in India and Tanzania. I have used them as binaural pair strapped
around my head or around a tree, and they give me exactly what I'm
after: various sound scapes and some action cuts and conversations
between people. In Tanzania I left them out for the whole night near the
camp and managed to capture a crowling of a Leopard, which later came
into our camp and sniffed around our tents!
Payment: I owe you some money (Telinga Pro7 and pair of EM23's), and
will wire it to you any day now. The delay is due to Finnish
Broadcasting Corporation, which took almost three months to pay the
Telinga Pro for me!
I heard from Pekka Nikander that he has a microphone order for you. I
hope you have time to take care of this order asap, as there are some
rather important people behind it, and radip delivery is always good for
the reputation.
I'm heading out to India on Friday trying first to sound record Syke's
Nightjar in Gujarat of which there are no previous sound recordings
anywhere in the world.
Best wishes, and enjoy the spring when it finally arrives.
