Robin,

Very interesting article. I really enjoyed it. But I have one notice. I
think You should update the prices of recorders. For example: I found
Tascam DR-100 for about 310$, Zoom H4n - 300$, Tascam DR-1 - 180$,
Zoom H2 - 150$, LS-10 for about 230$ and so on. All from amazon.com. I
know, that the prices aren't constant, but in your article they are now
much higher than on the market.

Regards
Krystian

cardioid to omni pattern microphones. Sony rated those on the PCM-D50 at
20 dB(A) self-noise and 120 dB max SPL. On the PCM-M10 they are 17 dB(A)
self-noise and 123 dB max SPL.

provides - kudos!), the old mics were down 5dB at 100Hz and off 4dB
before hitting 10KHz. The new mics are only -2dB at 40Hz and carry on to
18KHz before deviating by 4dB. The plot is not very smooth in the highs,
but that's what I expect from an cheap electret.
