With an intel mac you can boot into windows and then run Audition.
I know several people who do this using 'Parallels' allowing the user to switch
between Mac and Windows.
Of cource this is probably out of the question in lots of cases as it requires
you to purchase a copy of Windows, XP is probably best as there are issues with
Vista and sound, and a copy of Audition. Not the cheapest solution!
For most basic operations Audacity is hard to beat. For a little more finesse I
like DSP-Quattro which is also rather good for compiling your CD's.
I am currently wrestling with Wave Editor which looks interesting.

Hi Stuart
I think the original query by Lilly was for an Apple Mac, my understanding is
that Audition is PC only.
