I'm sitting in an apartment in Kiev having just returned from Chernobyl & P= ripyat. I can't remember the last time I was somewhere so quiet. For some t= ime there was nothing but the breese in the abundant trees. But on occasion= a solitary bird could be heard. I tried to grab some recordings but our gu= ide/minder had a persistent cough. And also a bomb for a car. Two hours eac= h way in unusually hot weather, crambed into a tiny car that broke down twi= ce. I'll see if I have any usable sound when I return to Australian in week= . What I find interesting is that we were taking photographs of the reactor= #4 that exploded in 1986, from only about 300 metres away. I'll post what = I can next week. |
