Flying Telinga

Hi,

Taking my new stereo telinga setup on trip from UK to South Africa, and
wondering if anyone has any advice...

Plan is the rolled dish goes in checked-in suitcase. However, I'm most
comfortable taking the high-tech mic and handle as carry-on hand luggage.

Does this make sense ? What do others do ?

In particular, I'm wondering what airport security typically makes of the
strange cylindrical objects with wires-hanging out ? I'm not keen on
risking mic/handle as hold luggage, having seen suitcases getting thrown
out of plane onto tarmac etc.

Thanks for any clue!

Chris
