I agree, a valuable learning and sharing experience for all involved. When I went there a couple years ago, most who arrived from distances furth= er than SF flew into Reno, however I found the 600 mile drive from Portland= offered recording opportunities along the way that any nature recordist wo= uld be a fool to pass up it they could manage a few extra days away.
