Hi Grant; Have you ever recorded the Bar-tailed Godwit, Red Knot etc They breed in Alaska and Siberia and then make an amazing 11,000 km flight (non-stop) to New Zealand. I encountered them at Farewell Spit and recorded a few at Motueka Spit. Their migration route in unbelievable. John Neville |
