Some mics take a while to stabilize when phantom power is first  
applied, although more like 10 to 20 seconds than ten minutes. Given  
the above info I would suspect the mics as the culprit here. Those are  
very inexpensive, & one can expect nearly non-existent quality control  
at that price point.
