With all this talk of terminology, it reminded me of a shop's name which se=
t itself up selling CD's in the early days it was called The Digital Gramop=
hone. I quite liked the term and had visions of a device, similar to the ol=
d gramophone, where you put the CD on a turntable and there was a large hor=
n assembly that carried the laser which 'played' the CD and converted into =
sound via the horn.
