Since I don't own a CS104 that will be hard. I wish i could say that
I do, but I don't. I have a schoeps MS rig with an mk4 for the mid
and I occasionally use and MK41. I am not much of an audiofile, but I
heard a discernible difference. Maybe calling my 744T pres trash was
a little extreme. They are very solid and quiet, but when I pugged
into the cooper, I found it just sounded a fair bit fuller and had a
bit more low frequency presence. It just had character, which I
wouldn't say for the 744T. My Sound Devices MP-2 even has a bit more
character in my mind than the 744 just to give you an idea of where I
am coming from.
