Disclosure: I am both a Cooper dealer (nothing to sell!) and a Sound
Devices dealer.

That sounds just like the typical audiophile opinion, inflating a non-
existent or insignificant difference to ridiculous proportions. I have
always considered their preamps to be in the same class, that is, the
top class. You will have to post a supporting comparison recording
before I can accept that opinion.
