One thing I don't like about winter is the fact that I can't keep my windows open so I can listen to the birds at our feeders. So I rigged up an old Sony parabolic dish with one of the AT-ES947 boundary mics I have (pic <http://www.flyingmonkeystudio.com/misc/dish.jpg> )and ran it into an extra Rolls MX34 mixer and then out to a Roland MiniCube amp (pic <http://www.flyingmonkeystudio.com/misc/amp.jpg> ) which is sitting on our dining room sideboard. It almost makes it feel like spring! A couple of friends commented that they'd like me to build them a similar rig. I have a couple extra ES947's that I can rig into a psuedo-parabolic dish (anti-squirrel dish). So- I'm in search of an affordable, small mic or PA amp that I could run into a speaker... Anybody run into anything like this? TIA John "Alpha Flying Monkey" Moore SoundBlog <http://sound.flyingmonkeystudio.com> |
