Earth Music?

Slight diversion from the norm.

Does the earths magnetic flux variation count as a nature recording?

Heres a natural recording made using two flux gate magnetometers.

I'd be interested in views as to the exact cause of the aparent shifts of tone 
in the recording, 
the magnetometers were placed around 1 meter apart, pointing E-W and W-E.
