I totally agree with you, Marcelo but for one thing, its government
that sells the land to foreign investment, other countries can't build
golf courses without someone selling the land. Everything else you say
is spot on, it is easy for the rich countries to condemn what a poor
country is doing with their land, I think what Bruce means is if the
People of Costa Rica can be educated enough with these problems and
realize what they are loosing, that can elect the right government to
protect what is rightfully the Costarican people.
There is more money to be made by encouraging people to see the
natural beauty of the land not corporative bullshitters with their
wealthy CEO's walking around golf courses.
I hope people like yourself can fight to put a hold on foreign
investment through the ballot boxes. I live in a country that
decimated its own natural resources and is ready to destroy another
one called the Arctic National wildlife refuge..
I hope the Osa peninsula can starve off the loggers for the
Costarican's sake...
