Subject: | 5mm Tip to left XLR Pin 2 |
---|
While some have predicted the end of the universe if used with this pinout, I find the cable works fine to connect a battery box like the ART Phantom II to the audio recorders I've tried. I believe that Sound Devices MixPre wants a different cable pinout. You probably should check with the manufacturer of the box you're using. The shell of the XLR cable can be removed if you need to cut, or add, a connection between pins. Hosa used to sell this cable with a different model numbers: YXF-247 (one foot), YXF-302 (2 feet) and YXF-305 (5 feet). You can still find cables with this designation for sale online. Here's one http://www.aiconsol.com/yxf-247-hosa.html $8.60 Audiogear sells a cable that looks similar to the Hosa cable http://www.audiogear.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?key=3DAdpt2FXMSM&preadd=3Dacti= on $12.89 --oryoki |
