I've considered using what we call in Australia 'Corflute' It's a double layered plastic board that has dividing ribs. I had an idea for a padded umbrella. My plan was to cut through one side (Along, but between the ribs) to allow it to be curved into a half tube shape. Covering it with some type of foam to stop rain 'impact' noise. Then fixing it above the normal mic/windscreen to act as an umbrella. The advantage with the corflute is that the groove (that is now laying open) will act as a gutter and channel the water to the ends of the 'umbrella' where it will drip clear of the equipment. The foam SHOULD stop too much rain impact noise. |
