I use np-1 batteries (idx clones bought cheap from laptops for less (all
gone now) They are standard issue for location sound recordists all over
the world. My lithiums will power a 744t with an ms rig and a mixer for
half a day or so. Ive never timed the usage. Lithium does have the
advantage of handling cold temperatures very well. They are also ligh
weight. Nicd or nimh np1s are reasonably heavier.
