Trouble is, they are never consistent!>> No, not really consistent, due I think, to varying levels of training & competence, as well as regional variations in vigilance from the managers. However, I have to say, traveling with large amounts of sound gear on a weekly basis, I've never been questioned by TSA about any number of pieces which quite legitimately would look very suspicious on X-Ray. I have had mics visually inspected only once in hundreds of flights since 9/11 & that was in Germany, where security it much more thorough & competent than in the US. Can you distribute your batteries among several traveling companions so as to be under the limit per person? Scott Fraser |
