Bernie,

Great news....only occasionally does science defeat politics.

Now we need to get the Parks & friends interested in restricting
access to the parks to motorcycles with adequate mufflers.

I understand that most (all?) states have laws against motorcycles
without mufflers, but I've never visited a national, state, or county
park that posted a warning about unmuffled bikes, or enforced
their own laws against them.

....And, by the way, they are illegal on all the other roads as well.

(PS the bikers claim that they remove the mufflers on new bikes as
a "safety feature"....You'll hear them coming even if you don't see them.)

Where do we start?
