John Willet posted a link to the article he wrote to review the new Nagra VI field recorder for Sound on Sound magazine. The Nagra VI has six line inputs, four mic inputs with preamp support, and two AES digital inputs. Take a look: http://www.soundonsound.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=660518 There are relatively few recorders with four mic inputs available for sale today: Zoom H2 (four mics built in) Edirol R-44 Edirol R-4 Edirol R-4 Pro two Sound Devices 702s linked by control cable Sound Devices 744t (just two mic preamps, however) Nagra LB Please tell me other 4 channel recorders I missed. Of course there are several 6, 8 and 10 channel recorders, designed for use on a sound cart. --oryoki |
