I bought the Peak LE because there was no real reason for all the
other bells and whistles in Peak Pro but it is useful as a 2 channel
editor. I also have Soundsoap pro which works hand in hand with the
program pretty well (it also works with others including wave editor)
I do have to admit though, Audacity works equally as well as peak LE
and it is free so give both a try before you buy.
My main DAW is soundtrack pro for mass production and works well with
Final Cut. A simple 2 channel editor is a must and for the mac I would
take either the audacity or the PeakLE.
